Small businesses and entrepreneurs in the Miami area now have a central point to work from if their business is in the green industry sector. EcoTech Visions, Pandwe Gibson is the founder and president, provides a unique incubator and maker space designed just for green businesses in the newly developed Green Corridor area of the city.
What is a Business Incubator?
While a business incubator is not a new concept, the focus on green and sustainable production and technology at EcoTech Visions makes it a unique opportunity for small businesses that are moving to green sector productions or services, or new companies launching ideas.
According to Dr. Pandwe Gibson, the goal of the incubator and maker space is to bring all the services these small businesses need to succeed in one location. With over 25,000 square feet, EcoTech Visions offers everything that small businesses need.
In addition to office resources and access to technical support, the incubator also hosts a prototyping lab. This provides members with access to 3D printers, laser cutters, and other technology to make cutting edge prototypes for marketing and development of ideas.
The maker space is ideal for light production requirements. In addition, there is a collaborative workspace that is perfect for businesses in the area and in the green industry sector to work together.
Additional Services
Through Ecotech Visions, Pandwe Gibson also offers training for underserved members in the community. The Digital Citizen Bootcamp provides free training for people in the Miami area to become experienced in IT services to qualify for better jobs throughout the industry.
With a focus on green technology, EcoTech Visions is making a difference in the community as well as the city. To date, over 75 businesses and entrepreneurs have taken advantage of the incubator and maker space to launch their green companies.
